A story through my senses
see
In these eyes - What do you feel? WHO do you see?

SEE

They say that
"The eyes are the windows to one's soul."
I'm not staring at you
I'm mirroring you

Even with my eyes wide shut
I still hope
You see in my eyes
Pieces of you

touch
I was told - when the story is in your soul...it doesn't matter how you play your song

TOUCH

A story told
Through a song
Played on a piano
By a pair of hands
On an invisible piano somewhere...

These hands
They've got stories to share

hear
The sounds of the Universe...condensed into this moment

HEAR

We all want validation
We all want to be heard
Even when we pretend we don't care

I may not be looking
I may not even seem aware
But trust me
LISTENing
I am

feel
Sometimes, the most painful steps are the ones taken with shoes on

FEEL

"Walk as if you're going home."
I did
3000 miles away from home
In winter in Mexico
When all families reunite and celebrate
I walked home

These feet
They've worn the shoes of many
And are awaiting
Shoes of their own

"Not everyone can live their lives from a deeper place of being truthful to themselves all the time. Val acts from this deeper place of truth. I never believe in actors ACTING a role, I always believe there is a part of us who belong to that role. And 10 years watching Val grow up in acting, she is able to bring herself deeper and deeper and act from this place of deeper truth. Val brings out a character by giving them real life stories and anecdotes from her own life. She brings an undeniable truth into her roles. And by learning to be herself in every role, by sharing a part of her with the audience, by being willing to be vulnerable, we as the audience can only choose to open our hearts and be vulnerable too. We watch ourselves dance with her on screen, cry with her, rage with her and for a moment, feel encouraged that there is a part of us that is in every one of us. That we are all in this thing call LIFE together."
